"Big Pete" was a great guy! He was in my circle of friends at Archbishop Molloy High School. So sad to hear of his passing. I remember when he worked at the RKO Keith movie theater and got us in for free!! My condolences to his entire family. You will be missed Pete. Rest in Peace old friend. Sincerely, Carmine Coletti class of '81.

Peter was my cousin . All the holidays all the birthdays all the tears we spent going to each other’s house . On another note at work several years ago my union went on a prolonged strike I received phone calls of encouragement from Peter during these times . A great man a great cousin .

Pete started working for me in March 2010. Pete called for almost six months before he was hired. Finally I was ready to welcome him aboard. From that on, we connected. We shared views and perspective and many issues. His core values of honesty, loyalty and integrity resonated from his character. In the years as our friendship continued to grow we each shared our personal and professional lives. One funny story is linked to my trying to change Pete the sheet metal mechanic to Pete the”Balancer”. Often my staff would call me to provide some direction or input if they were facing a challenge. When I was taking my step daughter down to Univ of Virginia, Pete called me almost every hour for the entire 7 hour journey. Fast forward a few years later on the same journey Pete calls about 12:00 and I’m of course on speaker phone. My wife answers and Pete says what are you doing? My wife says we are about to stop to order lunch, “what do do you want Pete, you are with us on every journey”
Pete was a kind, courteous , loving soul. He would give you the shirt off his back if you need it and would never ask fir anything in return. I wrote to Pete when he retired:
Each is given a bag of tools
A shapeless mass
A book of rules
And each must make
Ere life is flown
A stumbling block
Or a stepping stone
Pete you made a stepping stone that allowed you to reach a level in life that many seek, but never arrive. You did this by the things you said and the things that you did. I know that you have enriched my life and made me a better person from knowing you. You will be missed by many. Sleep deeply my dear friend, your pillow softly beckons you…fluff ready to absorb…..,shhh, your final sleep..

He had some influence on me.
The day before his wedding his sister asked if he would shave his beard, he said no!
That turned into a bit of an argument.
But he stood strong on it.
Time passed and it was my turn at the altar.
I did get a haircut reluctantly.
But it was my last!
It’s been 32 years!
Sometimes it’s the little things.
Rest In Peace Pete!

May Peter always rest in peace. He lived right down the street from me. His brother John is a friend of mine. Peter was a bit older. Always had respect for him.

He had a great personality that won him life long friendships, one being my brother John MacIsaac. My thoughts and prayers are with Pete’s family at this time. God Speed Peter may you rest in eternal peace.

Pete was just a wonderful person who could make friends with anyone (and always did!). He had a wonderful sense of humor (sometimes slightly wicked) and delighted in trading jokes with (or occasionally relentlessly teasing) his friends & family. He was perfectly happy going places with Terry and the girls, sitting around chatting with friends, bopping away (can we really call what we do "dancing"?) at a Dead Show, or working on one of the family vehicles (well, there may occasionally have been some cursing during the latter). He enjoyed learning and working hard and figuring out how to solve problems – and Pete even didn’t mind long commutes as long as he had someone to chat with on the phone. He loved puttering about the house and yard (as well as torturing his family by threatening to open his own forge there - darn you "Forged in Fire!). Peter was one of those rare people who truly would give you the shirt off his back without you even asking for it, and he was always first to volunteer to help anyone with anything when something needed doing. He was a great friend to us and his passing leaves a giant hole in our hearts. We will miss you terribly, Peter, and remember you always.
