Obituary of Frederick G. Richards III

Frederick G. Richards III, age 74, of Shelton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 2021 in the comfort of his home. Born on December 14, 1946 in Englewood, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Frederick G. Jr. and Grace Emily Greer Richards. Fred attended King School in Stamford, CT, Boston University, University of Miami and Life Chiropractic College. He was a chiropractor for 32 years, practicing in Stamford, Norwalk and Shelton, CT. He was especially proud of maintaining his sobriety via AA for 31+ years.

Survivors include his loving child Duncan Richards of Brooklyn, NY, his former spouse Susan Richards, siblings, Elly Richards, Christopher Richards, Frank Richards and Jim Schettino, his aunt, Nancy Richards, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues and many dear friends, including his NET (Neuro-Emotional Technique) family.

Relatives and friends can greet the family members at a gathering celebrating Fred's life on Saturday, December 4th at The Inn at Longshore, 260 Compo Rd S, Westport, from 12 to 3 p.m. Please RSVP to duncan13richards@gmail.com if you plan on attending.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the One Foundation (www.onefoundation.org), in memory of Fred. He was passionate about this non-profit organization, as it serves to promote scientific stress-reduction techniques.
