Obituary of James John Mancini

James J. Mancini, age 68, of West Haven passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, October 14, 2021. Born in Stamford on September 8, 1953 he was a son of the late Frank J. and Jean M. (Riley) Mancini. Mr. Mancini was the owner and operator of Mancini and Associates for many years where he built many friendships.

James was an avid gardener and would often transfer his cherished Japanese maples and perennials to the yards of his family and friends. His spectacular flower gardens and ornamental shrubs were an attraction in all the neighborhoods he ever lived in. For many years he was an active boater which provided many memories fishing with his sons and their friends on the Long Island Sound. He loved summer and adored time sunning himself for hours while sitting on his favorite beach chair. He was a proud father who was recently blessed with two grandchildren. James was living his best life leading up to his death.

He is survived by his loving sons, Michael Mancini and Daniel Mancini and his wife Kate, and their mother, Claire Mancini, two cherished grandchildren, Christopher and Ronan Mancini, his brothers, Frank Mancini and his wife Patty and Kevin Mancini and his wife Aileen, as well as his lifelong friend, Rick Fedeli, Sr. and several nieces, nephews and close friends.

Friends may greet the family on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Face masks are recommended, and social distancing will be practiced as guests enter the building, pay their respects and exit in order to give others the same opportunity. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Rd., Trumbull.
