Obituary of Charline J. Capuano

Mrs. Charline Capuano passed away peacefully on Monday, September 13, 2021. She was a resident of the Lutheran Home of Southbury for the last six years. Prior to that she was a resident of Heritage Village in Southbury for nine years and of Stratford for 59 years. She was born in Leominster, Massachusetts on March 24, 1921 and was the only child of Arthur and Juliette Comeau.

Charlene grew up in Greenwich, CT and was a graduate of Greenwich High School. She worked at Bridgeport Brass during World War II where she met her husband Louis. They were married in 1944 and moved to Stratford in 1949 to continue raising a family. She was a communicant at St. Marks RC church where she was active for many years. She was a buyer for Avco Lycoming of Stratford for many years from where she retired. While living in Southbury, she was a communicant and active member of Sacred Heart RC church.

She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Louis Capuano. Charline leaves behind four children, Lewis and his wife Claire of Southbury, Charles and wife Kathy of Moyock, North Carolina, Patricia and husband David of St. John USVI and Rob of Florissant, Colorado. She also leaves six grandchildren, Christopher of Summer, Washington, Jessica of Atlanta, Georgia, Alan of Okinawa, Japan, Kristen of Honolulu, Hawaii, Shane and Kelsea of Portland, Oregon and five great-grandchildren, Catherine of Summer, Travis and Blaire of Atlanta and Bodhi and Edan of Okinawa.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Lutheran Home for their kindness and excellent care the last five years.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. directly in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
