Obituary of Enrico Dattolo

Enrico "Rick" Dattolo, age 93, of Bridgeport, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Jean Marie Pavone Dattolo. Born in Bridgeport and a lifelong resident, he was born on May 12, 1928 and was a son of the late Libero and Antoinette Costanzo Dattolo.

Rick proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and worked as a purchasing agent for many years at several manufacturing companies before retiring from Perkin Elmer as an expediter.

He took great pride in caring for his family. He cared for his wife for over 20 years until her death in 1973 with the devoted assistance of his late sister-in-law, Kay Decerbo and his late mother-in-law, Josephine Pavone. His life revolved around his grandkids, baking his famous biscotti, his devoted dog Eddie and UConn Women's Basketball. He was immensely proud of his grandchildren. They were all very special to him and he was grateful to Jean for all the care she gave him over the years.

Survivors include two loving daughters, Janice Beers and her husband Michael, Debra Kulas and her husband Joseph, a brother, Frank Dattolo, sisters, Mildred DeAngelo, Libera D'Amico and Rose Anderson, four grandchildren, Matthew and Eric Beers, Jean Marie Kulas and her husband Domingos Martins, Brian Kulas and his fiancé Amanda Garganese and a cherished great grandson, Leonardo Domingos Martins, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Joseph, John, Philip, August and Robert Dattolo and sisters, Nellie Grosko, Evelyn Paradiso, Margaret Beaumont and Madeline Dattolo.

Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Andrew Church, 395 Anton St, Bridgeport on Friday, August, 27, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements in care of The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
