Obituary of Judith F. LaFerlita

Judith Frances Young LaFerlita, age 72, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 14, 2021 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brooklyn, New York on March 28, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Frances Fineo Young. Judy was a retired medical coordinator for United Healthcare, with over 25 years of dedicated service.

She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. The memories they created and the unconditional love she gave will forever live in their hearts. Judy will be truly missed.

Survivors include her four loving children, Joseph LaFerlita and his wife Alison of Long Beach, NY, Dina Laurie Mainiero and her husband Ron of Shelton, Jenny Sullivan and her husband Eric of Palm City, FL and Dan LaFerlita and his wife Erica of Milford, seven cherished grandchildren, Jack, Skylar, Madison, Shane, Reilly, Paige and Dylan, two brothers, Gene Young and Chris Young, sisters, Alice Statz, Pat Nalbandian, and Mary Ellen Veselovsky, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Grayce Young.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 11:00 am directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford. A walk-through visitation will take place on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Visitors are recommended to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building.
