Obituary of Paul Gordon Budd

Paul Gordon Budd, beloved husband of Armida (Fraioli) Budd died on August 9, 2021, in his home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Rhinebeck, NY, son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Genung) Budd. He attended Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, TN then went on to serve four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era, receiving many suggestion awards.

He was a brilliant businessman and owner of Monroe Rent-All, Monroe, CT which he retired from after thirty successful years of being self-employed.

Paul enjoyed playing tennis, spending time on his boat, fishing, tending his garden, reading poetry, feeding many species of birds and relaxing with family and friends.

Paul was a long-time member of Alcoholics Anonymous with Shelton Early Risers as his home group. He had tireless dedication and devotion to helping other members of AA. He volunteered at Bridgeport Hospital for twenty years focusing on helping people find recovery from the disease of alcoholism.

In addition to his wife Armida, he is survived by his son Jonathan, his daughter Carla and grandsons Gavin and Leo, his brother, Joseph H. Budd, Jr., sisters Margot (John) Finnegan and Deborah Allyn plus many cousins, nieces and nephews.

His family is extremely grateful and wish to express sincere thanks and appreciation for the care he was given by his Oncology Doctors, Palliative Care Doctors and ATU nurses, all at the VA Hospital and also for the help and TLC he received from the Hospice nurses from Masonicare.
