Obituary of Mark D. Stevens

Mark D. Stevens, age 63, of Orange, beloved husband of Virginia E. Stevens passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Griffin Hospital. Born in Chicago, IL on September 9, 1957, he was a son of Arlo Stevens and the late Dorothy Nommenson Stevens. Mark worked as mechanical engineer for over 36 years at Sikorsky. Naturally he was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, loved airplanes and trains but above all, he loved being a husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed spending quality time with his family. In addition to his wife Virginia of 35 years, he is survived by his father, Arlo Stevens of VA, his two sons, Andrew & his wife Amanda in Norway, Thomas Stevens of California, his adored granddaughter, Aileen Stevens, two brothers, Scott Stevens and his wife Mia of Florida, Keith Stevens and his wife Carol of Ohio, his sister Sandra Stevens-Julian and her husband Tom of North Carolina and his beloved dog, Pepper. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. directly in Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 498 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in the CT State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown with full military honors.
