Obituary of Lisa Creatura Beers

Lisa M. Creatura Beers, age 64 of Trumbull, beloved wife of Gary, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on July 27, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Betsey Galby Creatura. 

Lisa was an alumna of Cathedral High School in Bridgeport, CT. She pursued her education at Southern Connecticut State University, earning a BA, MA, and sixth-year degree in elementary education and reading. Lisa started her teaching career at St. Francis School in New Haven and then spent the majority of her career at Booth Hill School in Trumbull. She was a 5th grade teacher before retiring in 2020 with approximately forty years of dedicated service. Teaching was her passion.  As a mentor and teammate, Lisa went above and beyond showing her strong commitment to the school community.  Lisa was an avid reader, golfer, theatre-goer, and traveler. Known as a lifelong New York Yankees fan, she would often attend games with her family and travel to Florida for Spring Training. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband Gary of nearly thirty years, she is survived by their two children, Michael and Sierra Beers, as well as their beloved golden retriever, Sammie, all from Trumbull. She is also survived by her three brothers, John Creatura and his wife Joretta of Jacksonville, FL; Leonard Creatura and his wife Leslie of Trumbull, CT; Paul Creatura and his wife Lori of Satellite Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may greet the family on Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
