Obituary of Lucy Marini LaFrenierre

Lucy Marini LaFrenierre, age 58, of Mason, OH and formerly of Trumbull, beloved wife of Richard LaFrenierre, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 7, 2021. Born in Bridgeport on July 21, 1962, she was a daughter of the late Armando and Lucia Paniccia Marini. After graduating from Notre Dame High School in 1980, Lucy began working for the family business at Ardmare Construction. Lucy later worked as a payroll administrator with UE&C Catalytic at the Amoco/BP Refinery in Yorktown, VA. Lucy's most rewarding job was an Administrative Assistant at Saint Theresa Catholic School in Trumbull until she moved to Ohio with her husband. Lucy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She took great pride in being an active parishioner at Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Trumbull and Saint Susanna Catholic Church in Mason, Ohio. In addition to her beloved husband of 34 years Richard, survivors include her loving daughter Alyssa LaFrenierre and her fiancé Christian Josephson of Kent, Ohio, her loving son Joseph LaFrenierre, daughter in law Sierrah LaFrenierre and grandson Elias LaFrenierre of Little Rock, Arkansas, brother Mario Marini and his wife Sharon Marini of Trumbull, sister Luisa Altobelli and her husband Ettore Altobelli of Trumbull, brothers Bernardino (Dino) Marini of Bridgeport and Anthony Marini of Trumbull, brother in law Raymond LaFrenierre and his wife Ilene of the United Arab Emirates, brother in law Ronald LaFrenierre and his wife Kerrie of Suffolk, Virginia, Jamie West of Coleraine, Minnesota and sister in law, Karen Whiteis and her husband John of Loveland, Colorado. Nephews and Nieces Michael Altobelli and his wife Maria Altobelli of Watertown, Angelo Altobelli and his wife Theresa Altobelli of Trumbull, Anthony Altobelli of Trumbull, Taryn Hall and her husband Chaz of Yorktown, Virginia, Matthew Haywood and his wife Brandi of Loveland, Colorado, Kyle Haywood and his wife Jalisa Lee of Loveland, Colorado and Cassandra Hronek of Loveland, Colorado. Great nieces and great nephews Siena Altobelli, Aviana Altobelli, Marcello Altobelli, Cristiano Altobelli, Michael Altobelli Jr, Liliana Altobelli, Vera Hall, Aiden Haywood, Rylee Haywood, Caleb Hronek, Lilian LaFrenierre and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Lucy was predeceased by her father in law, Eugene LaFrenierre and her mother in law, Yvonne LaFrenierre Lucy's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and respiratory teams at the University of Cincinnati West Chester Hospital and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center Main Campus Hospital. A walk-through visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT. It is appreciated that visitors wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
