Obituary of Robert P. Castellanete

Robert P. Castellanete, age 85, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born in the Bronx, New York on February 20, 1936, he was a son of the late Pasquale and Julia (Malafronte) Castellanete.

Robert proudly served his Country in the United States Marine Corps and went on to become the Assistant to the Bronx Borough President with over 50 years of cumulative service, both full time and as a consultant after retirement. He was given a key to the city at the time of his retirement. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family and he was loved by all of his extended family.

Survivors include his loving nieces and nephews, Frances Lanza, Diane Perachio, Harold Eide, Patricia Hricz, Steven Eide, Richard Santucci, Dore Rogers, Raymond Terone and Lynne Stickle and several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters, John Castellanete, Madeline Castellanete, Adeline Eide, Gabriel Castellanete, Leonore Santucci, Juliet Terone and Eugene Castellanete.

Family and friends are invited to meet directly in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours. The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull has been entrusted with arrangements.
