Obituary of Lennox George

Lennox George, age 87, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Sybil (Pemberton) George. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, on April 11, 1934, he was a son of the late Francis and Rose (Serrette) George. Lennox had worked as a welder and chrome plating specialist for many years before his retirement. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was an avid fisherman and traveler.

In addition to his beloved wife Sybil of 65 years, survivors include his loving children, Lorna George, Trevor George and his wife Traci, Lester George, all of Bridgeport, Donna Edwards, Trudy Grant-Bailey, both of Trinidad, West Indies, Cheryl McClashie and Ian Springer, both of Brooklyn, NY, his sisters, Joyce Cadogan, Eunice Jacob and Linda Henwood, as well as 37 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Lennox was predeceased by his son, Lyndon George, his brother, Marcelle George, and his sisters, Elaine Briggs, Rita Ballah, Phylis George and Merle Merez.

A walk-through visitation will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m (PRIVATE) and from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. (PUBLIC) at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Guests are asked to wear face masks and socially distance as they enter the building, pay their respects and exit in order to allow others the same opportunity.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Andrew Church 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport. Burial will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport, to the rear of the Dewy Street Side.
