Obituary of George A. Kosnoski

U.S. Army Veteran George A. Kosnoski, age 94, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Sylvia Garofano Kosnoski, died on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 in St. Vincent Medical Center with his family by his side. Born in Winchester, New Hampshire on March 31, 1914, he was the son of the late John and Felecia Kosnoski. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, he worked at Singers of Bridgeport then was a line supervisor at Dresser Industries and also worked at Country Home Bakers on Saturdays until his retirement. He was the Captain of the Holy Rollers Bowling Team in the Tuesday Senior League and was an avid Yankees fan. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses in the ICU at St. Vincents as well as Dr. Duda, Dr. Fitzgerald, Dr. Kosinski and the VNA of Bridgeport, especially Collette who we now consider part of the family. In addition to his wife of 43 years, survivors include his daughter Georgina Montanaro and her husband John of Stratford and two cherished grandchildren Brittley and Brody. Funeral Information Relatives and friends can meet directly on Monday, November 3, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 163 Ortega Ave., Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
