Obituary of Edward T. Konecky

Edward T. Konecky, age 73, of Trumbull, a retired pharmaceutical sales representative for Bergen Drug Company and an employee of MacKenzies Pharmacy of Trumbull, died on Sunday, October 2, 2005 at St. Vincent Medical Center. A U. S. Marine Corps veteran, Mr. Konecky was a graduate of Harding High School. He was involved in Trumbull Little League as a coach, player agent and president of the National League. He volunteered his time and operated the concession stand at Unity Park for over 15 years. He was a dispatcher for Trumbull EMS and was a member of the Barnum Duck Pin Bowling League. He was best known for his readiness to tell a joke. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Carcare Konecky, five children, Judy Holloway and her husband, Ted and Robin Boudreau, all of Naugatuck, Frank Konecky and his wife, Kathleen Bailey-Konecky and Sheryl Coe and her husband, Jeff, all of Trumbull and Rosemary Konecky and Michael Waibel of Cheshire, two sisters, Barbara Cohen of Tennessee and Blanche Drawbaugh of California,12 grandchildren, a great grandson and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
