Obituary of Elizabeth F. Allen
Elizabeth Enid Foote Allen (Betty), age 98, of Trumbull, CT, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 3, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Charles Allen.
Born in Plainfield, New Jersey on June 3, 1922, Betty was the eldest child of the late James Wilford and Caroline Catherine Eberlin Foote. She grew up in Bound Brook and earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Douglass College and a Masters degree in Education from Rutgers University. Betty enjoyed working in her field as a technical librarian with Heyden Chemical Corporation, a teacher at Stuart Country Day School and a senior clinical scientist with Carter-Wallace, Inc. Betty and Art made their home in West Windsor Township where they raised their children and had wonderful neighbors. Betty was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and word jumbles. She took great pleasure in watching the birds at her feeder and animals visiting her yard, gardening, wildflowers, long walks and camping with her family. She was also an active member of the Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church and a tutor with Literacy Volunteers in her retirement years.
Betty is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara A. and E. John Drummond of Trumbull, CT; her son, Daniel D. Allen of Reston, VA; and her grandsons and their wives, Timothy and Megan Drummond, Peter and Gillian Drummond, and Jeffrey and AnnaMarie Drummond and their son, Greyson.
Her family would like to thank her hospice team from VITAS Healthcare, and her caregivers with Dogwood Home, Shelton, CT, Home Care Assistance in CT and NJ, and Middlebrook Farms at Trumbull, CT for their compassionate care. We're very thankful that Betty was able to live with her daughter and son-in-law during her final year of life.

Betty's service in CT and inurnment in NJ will be held privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull, CT.
