Obituary of Robert H. Bonazzo Sr.

Robert H. Bonazzo, age 94 of Trumbull, beloved husband of Lena D. Bonazzo, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on September 25, 1926, he was a son of the late Anthony and Jennie DiMenno-Bonazzo of Trumbull. Robert (Bob) a veteran of the United States Coast Guard in World War II. He was co-owner of Bridgeport Plating and Bridgeport Plastics and a member of Bonazzo Realty. Bob was a former President of the Italian Community Center and helped raise the funds to erect the building on Park Ave. in Bridgeport, CT with other prominent local citizens of Italian descent. He was known as Uncle Bob to many of his children's friends. Survivors include two sons, Robert E. Bonazzo Jr., Anthony H. Bonazzo, II and a daughter Lisa R. Bonazzo and her husband Todd W. Brown. Robert was predeceased by a brother, Joseph A. Bonazzo and his wife Sophia, a sister, Dorothy B. Grabowski and her husband John and a sister Eleanora Carpenter. A private burial for immediate family will be held at St. Michael Cemetery in Stratford. Arrangements entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull
