I remember Mr. Roche! He always had that smile. He was a great principal and even greater human being. My deepest condolences on your loss.

Dolores and Family,
I was so sorry to just hear of Bob's passing. Even though we were relatives, we grew out of touch. I was at your wedding as a child and you both seemed do happy! I did not know him well but I do remember his sense of humor, from our occasional weekend visits to Uncle Ray and Aunt Viola's house. May he rest in peace.

Bob was a good friend, a respected colleague, and, most importantly, one of the good guys. We had a great time in the heyday of THS.

I remember Mr. Roche being a "good guy" back in the days of Trumbull High School (class of '72). My condolences to the Roche family and friends. The candle that I had chosen is Black & Gold ... THS colors.

I well remember Bob joining our Trumbull High School English Department in 1966. He brought a lively sense of humor to the entire high school staff and to his students. He will be fondly remembered by those whose lives he touched.

I had the privilege of knowing Bob Roche first as a member of the class of '69 to which he was the class advisor, then as a colleague when I joined the high school faculty. Bob along with his brother Jack served as the M.C. for many a faculty party. I still remember some of his classic "quips." Bob was intelligent, kind and funny - an exemplary educator and human being. R.I.P.

My sincere condolences to the family. Class of 1982 he was not my house principle but he knew my name and everyone’s name for that matter. May his soul soar with the feathered eagles now.

Great man, always upbeat and encouraging. I was class of '77 and he wasn't my housemaster, but I would drop in and visit and say hi. He would always greet students by name in the hallways. Thank you Mr. Roche for all your contributions to THS and the community.

I was in the THS Class of 79. I wasn't even in B House, which was his domain at the time, however many of us got to know Mr. Roche by walking the halls. He was always pleasant and could connect the dots on the spot, knowing either your relatives, your friends or both. The last time I saw and spoke with him was at Sorrento's, back when they were in BPT. We stood out in the crowd as we were the only Irishmen there. The fact that he remembered me was impressive but in talking to him I realized he hadn't lost a beat. You should know that his impact on people was genuine and warm. Safely home Robert, safely home.
