We were saddened to hear about Joe’s passing. It’s never easy to lose a parent, no matter how old we are. Hopefully you can all take comfort in the good times of laughing, loving and being together. Our love and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Dear Kate and family,
I am truly sorry for your loss. I was very fond of your Dad, he was a true gentleman. I loved working with him over the years. He was a man of strong faith, he was witty, fun and kind. I will cherish the fond memories we shared, holiday parties, birthday parties and retirement parties. May he rest in peace.
All our Love, Anna and Vito Mazza

Dear family and friends of Joseph,
The Nucera family was very well known to us in Nichols/Trumbull. We lived on Priscilla Place. I went to the Prep with Philip. We were classmates in "52, and I became the first priest from St. Catherine's Parish.
My birthday is on the 14th, and I will be praying with you all, as I offer Mass, when Joe is laid to rest. May God grant Joe a place with his loved ones in heaven, and may he ask God to bless us all as we live through the pandemic.
Sincerely, Father Bob Braunreuther, S.J.

On behalf on the Newbert Family, I would like to share our deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers to the Nucera Family. Ann and Bob recently passed, as well, but loved Bea and Joe and their cousins, the Liptak's, very much. I remember visiting Bea, Joe and family growing up, and they were always so kind. Apparently we share a lot of history together! Like Mom and Dad, Heaven rejoiced at Joe and Bea's reunion! Blessings to you all at this difficult time. May you enjoy only the best of memories to come and find comfort in them. They will lift you up and carry you as you will each other. Take good care,
Love, your cousin,
Patty Newbert Luikert

Joe was a kind and gentle soul. He was very helpful to me not only when I was a young attorney beginning my practice but always. It was always a great pleasure to talk to Joe because I knew that I was talking to one of the quietest and kindest practitioners in the city of Bridgeport. He always shared his stories about my father, who was at least 15 years Joe’s senior. I will miss him!

Joe was my brother in law. As a Sister of Mercy, I thrilled to the fact that he and my beloved sister would give me the greatest gifts of my life: six beautiful nieces and nephews. Joe gave me not only family but also so many proofs of the goodness of God. He was a blessing always in my life.
