Obituary of Edward C. Gray

Edward C. Gray, age 68, of Shelton and formerly of the Southbury Training School for 54 years passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. Born in Bridgeport on November 6, 1951, he was the beloved son of Lorraine (Cisero) Gray of Oxford and the late Edward Gray. Eddie enjoyed listening to music, going on walks or taking car rides. He was fascinated with large trucks and also had a weakness for big ice cream cones, which were his favorite. He was content watching others and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his devoted mother Lorraine, other survivors include his loving sister, Lorraine Bonito and her husband Ronald of Oxford, his niece and nephew, Samantha Veilleux and her husband Matthew of Middletown, VA and Adam Bonito of Woodbury, his great nephew, Sawyer M. Veilleux and his sister-in-law, Karen Gray of Sarasota, FL as well as several cousins. In addition to his father, Edward, he was also predeceased by his brother, Thomas M. Gray.

Due to the concerns affecting us all at this time surrounding social gatherings, all funeral services and interment will be held privately for the immediate family. A memorial service and celebration of Eddie’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull.
