Obituary of Dana C. Bartlett

Owner and Operator of Dana's Construction Dana C. Bartlett, age 68, of Huntington, the owner and operator of Danas Construction, LLC, died peacefully on Saturday, July 3, 2010 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Portland, Maine on June 26, 1942, Dana grew up in St. John, Maine where he married his high school sweetheart. He was a Master Carpenter and a skilled craftsman in his trade. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, and was an avid Yankees fan. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4716 and a member of the Screw Ball Club. Dana was predeceased by two loving sons, D.J. (Dana James) Bartlett and Johnny Edwin Bartlett, his parents, Edwin and Ethel Jackson Bartlett, and a brother, Edwin Bartlett. Survivors include his devoted wife of 48 years, Geraldine Ouellette Bartlett, a loving daughter, Tammy Walkley and her husband Robert of Seymour, four cherished grandchildren, Krystal, Kevin, Christopher and Tyler, his brother and best friend, Donald J. Bartlett and his wife Sharon of Sandy Hook, a daughter-in-law, Sandra Bartlett of Beacon Falls, a sister-in-law, Irene Bartlett of Trumbull, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Memorial Mass celebrating his life will take place on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. There will be no calling hours.
