Obituary of Michael G. Minalga

Michael G. Minalga, age 68 of Trumbull, beloved husband of Gwendolyn Amato Minalga, passed away peacefully with his wife and daughter by his side on Friday, July 3, 2020 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport. Born on December 31, 1951 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late John Peter and Anna Helen Coolis Minalga. Michael worked for many years as a supervisor for Sturm Ruger & Co. in Southport. When he was able, he enjoyed travelling and was an avid reader. Michael was also known by many as an amazing baker. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be truly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife Gwendolyn of 31 years, he is survived by his children, Holly Bayerle and her husband Richard, Sr. of Naugatuck and Daniel Minalga of Jefferson, NY, his six grandchildren, Nicole Peltier, Richard Bayerle, Jr., Gerald Paradis, Hunter Minalga, Eddie Minalga, and Dominic Paradis, five great grandchildren, and his sister, Patricia Little of Shelton. In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his sister, Celeste Verzaro.

Due to the concerns about social gatherings affecting us all at this time, funeral services will be private for the convenience of the family.
