Obituary of Robert F. Keogh

Robert F. Keogh, age 68, of Trumbull, a retired teacher for Westhill High School in Stamford, with 41 years teaching experience, died suddenly on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on November 20, 1937, he was a son of Isabella Cousins Keogh of Bridgeport and the late Francis C. Keogh. Mr. Keogh graduated from Fairfield Prep in 1955 and earned both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in education from Fairfield University. In his retirement, Bob taught Energy Conservation in three states and has taught citizenship in the Milford School System. He was the Chairman of the Trumbull Inlands and Wetlands Commission, a member of the Latin Scholars and the class of 1955, Fairfield Prep Reunion Committee. Bob spent many hours at his grandchildrens baseball and basketball games. He will be remembered for his amazing wit and sense of humor.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his beloved wife of 46 years, Joan Studley Keogh, four children, Timothy Keogh and his wife, Susan of Wallingford, Lorraine Keogh of Stratford, Carol Ann Keogh and her partner, Mary Anne Franz of Stratford and Marie E. Keogh of Trumbull, a brother, Peter J. Keogh and his wife, Lillian of Bridgeport, a sister, Kathleen Fazzone and her husband, Roger of Sherman, his mother-in-law, Lorraine Studley of Trumbull, a brother-in-law, Robert G. Studley and his wife, Maribeth of Stratford, a sister-in-law, Sister Lorraine Studley of E. Rockaway, NY, an aunt, Grace McGuire and her husband, William of Trumbull, six grandchildren, T. R., Ryan, Justin, Randi, Shawn and Sydney and several beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
