I had the very good fortune to meet and work with Nermin. I too was on the IV team in Burlington for 30 years . She was a dear friend , mentor, confidant , mother, matchmaker, chef and even belly-dance teacher. Nermin was an independent woman , she was strong , never complained and was there for everyone . She loved her work at which she excelled . Nermin worked hard which allowed her to enjoy her shopping trips to Lord & Taylor‘s jewelry department and also to the casinos ! No one could put an outfit together and look so stylish as she did . Nermin was generous of spirit and heart. She talked about her family frequently with great admiration and love. You all should be very proud of your mother and I was truly blessed to be her friend .

Thank you Marilyn for your kind words. She was truly generous of heart and spirit and will be forever missed. Lahey was her second love next to her family and she thrived there with her colleagues and patients. What an amazing journey she had and what an amazing mother and friend. Shana

I only had the pleasure of meeting Nermin in person a few times. Her infectious smile is what I remember most; it was hard not to smile in her presence. Sometimes Shana shared a Mom story with me, and I would find myself smiling again. I am sorry Nermin is no longer on this plane, but I have no doubt she is watching over her family even now. And smiling.

Such a beautiful woman who oozed warmth and always welcomed me into her home. She always made sure that Sehnaz and I had our favorite breakfast cereals on hand for the times I did a “sleepover.” Mothers are magic and when they are gone, leave a hole in your heart... so glad I had the opportunity to know her

I am so happy to know Nermin teyze. She is a pioneer woman to many of us who came to the US for different reasons and started families over here. I admire her to build her career and family in a foreign country back in the day when it was not easy. Rest in peace Nermin teyze!
