We moved next door to this wonderful family, the DeVietro’s, when I was just a baby. When I was little I knew Gloria as my best friend Michele’s mommy. As I got older I came to know her as one of my mom’s closest friends. Fourteen years ago when my mom went to Heaven I came to know Gloria as my dear friend. Gloria & I kept in touch throughout the years, keeping each other updated on our lives and our families. I knew I was as much the missing link to my mom for her as she was to me. Gloria called me every year for thirteen years around the beginning of July. My mom passed on July 4, 2005. Gloria never forgot. Somehow she knew I needed to hear her voice, my link to my mom. I knew how much she missed her too. Now they don’t have to miss each other any more. I will forever long for all those phone calls. Thank you Gloria for being such a dear friend to me, my family and all who knew you. I would say rest in peace but you are with Big Mike, Cookie, Ronnie, Veronica & my parents! There is no resting with them, only laughter!! Enjoy the laughter! I love you!

Our sincere condolences on the passing of your mother Gloria. I remember my mother telling us stories about her childhood friend. I also remember what a warm and wonderful lady Gloria was. My father, Ralph, went to be with the Lord on June 13th. I hope that he was able to see Gloria and they are all having a beautiful life in heaven, meeting all their friends and loved ones that they haven’t seen in such a long time. As Jesus said “In my Father’s house are many mansions, behold I go to prepare a place for you.” John 14:2

To Gloria's family and friends, I am deeply sadden by Gloria's being called home to the Lord. Knowing this, I take comfort that she is with Big Mike whom she loved. I always enjoyed playing cards at Barbara Devon's with Cookie & Paul, Rich Zamfino and myself. Rich told me many stories of over the years of Gloria and Mike and all the fun he and Lucille had. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Her love of life, her great smile and the love she shared will be cherished forever.
