Obituary of Anthony E. Romano
Anthony E. Romano, age 68, of Trumbull, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019. Born in Bridgeport on August 14, 1950, he was a son of the late Salvatore and Antonetta Ascolese Romano and was a longtime resident of Trumbull. Tony attended UConn and went on to receive his bachelor's degree in business at Sacred Heart University. He was a project manager at Sikorsky Aircraft with over 25 years of dedicated service. He also worked on Sundays at Napa Auto Parts (the former Fair Auto Parts) in Newtown, where he enjoyed helping people with advice and all his knowledge of cars. Tony had a passion for antique tractors, especially John Deere tractors and loved working on cars. He worked on his own cars as well as helping all of his family and friends.
Survivors include his loving brother, Michael Romano and his wife Rita of Trumbull, two beloved nephews, Salvatore Romano and Michael Romano and an aunt, Rose Scinto of Trumbull as well as many dear cousins and friends.
Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery Mausoleum, Bridgeport. A private family gathering will take place at 9:30 a.m. There will be no public calling hours.
