Obituary of Juliana Jorge

Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother Juliana Jorge, age 77, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Augusto Jorge, died peacefully on Thursday September 12, 2013 at St. Vincents Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Ardaos, Portugal on May 3, 1936 she was a daughter of the late Albino DosSantos and Teresa Meixide DosSantos. She immigrated to the United States in 1974 to give her family a better life and was a Bridgeport resident for most of her life. She worked at Dooney & Bourke for over 10 years. Juliana enjoyed cooking and holidays with her family. She especially loved the times that she spent with her loved ones especially caring for her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, the pilot of her family. She will be deeply missed by all. In addition to her beloved husband of 61 years, Augusto, survivors include her loving children,Isabel DosSantos and her husband Domingos DosSantos of Bridgeport, Maria Rosa Jorge and her husband Artur Jorge of Shelton and Jose Jorge and his wife Maria Diolinda Jorge of Bridgeport, eight cherished grandchildren, Cristina Tiago and her husband David Tiago, Sandy Gomes and her husband Paulo Gomes, Tiffany and AJ Jorge, Jose and Nuno Jorge and Alison and Danny DosSantos, four adored great grandchildren Daniel & Dylan Gomes and Catarina & Alexander Tiago, a sister Maria Coutinho of Portugal, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a great grandson, Michael Gomes. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place in Ardaos Cemetery, Ardaos, Portugal.
