Dear Schmedlin Family, I am so sorry I did not learn of beryl's death until today at 5:15 mass at St. Stephen's Church. (I don't get the CT Post anymore.) Beryl and Alvan were such good friends of my former husband, Val Grobnagger and me when Val and beryl worked together many years ago at International harvester on Fairfield Ave. in Bridgeport. I cannot tell you how many times we invited one another to our homes for dinner. Alvan helped Val rebuild a beautiful closet in the living room of my old house. My neighbor's daughter worked for Alvan at Moore Tool. I had reached out to Beryl after my divorce from Val and knew she had sold their home on Lorma Avenue and had moved to the Teresian Towers at St. Joseph's Manor; it had been my intention to keep in touch, but Life, as it usually does, got in the way. I am terribly saddened by her passing, but now I know why she's been on my mind the past few weeks. May she and Al rest in peace together now. Andrea (Grobnagger) Paddock
