Thank you for your service to community and country.

There are no words that will ever express what losing him means to me and so many others that loved and adored him. He was truly a kind loving, caring, compassionate soul blessed with the amazing gift of making all those around him smile and laugh. He was a true friend that would go to any measures to help you. He was a great police officer with admirable courage. I am forever grateful for his friendship and I will forever cherish the way he made me laugh and smile when my days were not always so bright. He was a beacon of light for me and many others who helped us through difficult times in our lives. I will keep his memory alive by sharing stories and pictures of him. I will never forget his friendship and loyalty. I love you brother. Always and forever.

My sincere condolences to the family. I’m so sorry for your loss. Mark was a real police officer. A great cop. Very few you can call “A cop’s cop” these days. Mark was one of those few.
R.I.P. my brother. Save me a seat up there. When I see you again. I’m sure I will. You better have learned to twirl that nightstick. God knows I tried my heart out. Even wore my riot helmet. I’ll miss you. Sad that all of us forget each other. Sad we don’t talk. We cry together, fight on the ground with bad guys together, fight the bull crap in the dept together and try to teach each other how to twirl a baton together. Yet then we forget one another. That needs to end.
We love one another on the job and it should make not one damn bit of difference when one of us leaves and retires. You call. To the family. You knew him the best. I was honored to meet, work and know him. May God bless you all and my prayers are with you.

Lord, I want to lift up some dear friends of mind that are going through much grief at the moment and are finding it so difficult to come to terms with all that has taken place in the last few days.
I humbly ask that You would come to them and provide the comfort they need to come to terms with all that has happened – and the strength to face the reality that things will never be as they were.
Lord I know that their grief seems to be overwhelming them and I am hurting for them, and know not what to do to help – and so I am coming to You in prayer, to ask that You will meet each of them at their point of need and help them to turn to You at this sad time.
I pray that as the day passes Your healing touch will comfort and succour them in this time of distress and may this be a thing that causes each of them to draw closer to You, knowing that You alone can heal the broken-hearted and bring joy out of pain.
Thank You Lord for being there for Mark's family and into Your hands I place each one of these dear ones who have such sadness in their hearts – I KNOW in Whom I believe and an confident that You will bring good out of this situation – and to You be all the praise and glory, Amen.
