Obituary of Mario Rodriguez

Mario Rodriguez, age 82 of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. Born on October 29, 1936 in Patillas, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Alejandro and Alejandrina Lebron Rodriguez. He will be forever known as a great mechanic who could always be found tinkering with cars. He loved horseracing, and got much enjoyment from both western films and country music. He spent many days enjoying the seashore, but above all, he cherished the time spent surrounded by his grandchildren. He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Mario is survived by his beloved children, Alex Rodriguez and his wife Beatriz of Monroe, Mario Rodriguez and his wife Diana of NJ, and daughter Carmen Rodgers and her husband Richard of NJ, and his cherished grandchildren, Melissa Rodgers, Taylor Rodriguez, Lucas Rodgers, Jonathan Rodriguez, Cristian Rodriguez, Santiago Rodriguez, Laura Rodriguez, William Rodriguez, and Veronika Rodriguez. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Christopher Rodriguez.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 18, 2019 
Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m till noon at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull CT. 
At 12:30 p.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main Street, Trumbull CT. 
Friends may call on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Interment will be held Tuesday February 19, 2019, 1:30 pm at Arlington Park Cemetery, 1620 Cove Road, Pennsauken, NJ 08110, followed by a luncheon at the home of Mr. and Mrs Richard Rodgers, 39 Crawford Drive, Sicklerville, NJ 08081.
