I went to see my mom Regina today at Lord Chamberlain and I asked where my Rosie was and they told me she had passed. My heart was broken because I always would talk to her, give her hugs and try to get her to eat something when I was there. She always gave me the biggest smiles. I remember one night she was having a bad day and wouldn't take her medicine. I walked up to her and asked her if she needed a hug and she cried yes. she gave me the biggest hug and smile. So from then on every time I went there I would try to give her a hug. I will really miss her and seeing that beautiful smiling face. My deepest sympathies goes out to her son's who she loved so very much and the rest of her family. Especially to her son I would see there. May you rest in piece Rosie.

My Aunt Rose had an amazing way of making everyone that she encountered feel like they were special and loved. For some, this is a contrived and fake persona, but for my Aunt Rose it was genuine, because it was actually the kind of person she was. Coupled with her genuine love for people, was also an incredible strength. Aunt Rose simultaneously exuded both love and strength, and she was a role model in both regards to our entire family. When I lost my grandparents as a young man, it was my Aunt Rose that stepped into that role in my life. Over the years, I saw time and time again that she stepped into that same role, as a surrogate mom or grandmother, in many many lives. Her meal table was always full of people that were part of her biological and extended family, but I could not help but notice that it was also full of many people that had become part of her family because she had stepped into their lives and changed their lives.
We love you and miss you Aunt Rose, but we will see you again… and I’m sure the table will be full of people you loved and touched… and of course, also full of the best spaghetti, meatballs, and sausage known to man.
Love,
Mike

May God keep your most precious spirit, Aunt Rose. You had the most giving heart of nearly all people I've ever met. You have blessed our family and so many others with your welcoming ways, kindness, great generosity, and humility. I am a most grateful recipient of your love and grandmotherliness! I will miss your presence here, Mama of our family.

Here's a look at Rose's heart. My Aunt Rose was visiting us when our granddaughter, Quinn, was about a year old, and going through that typical shy stage. Aunt Rose gently picked her up, looked right into Quinn's eyes and without words, spoke into her heart... I see you Quinn, you don't have to be afraid, you're safe with me because I love you and like you exactly the way you are. Naturally, Aunt Rose won her over. I bet most of you who knew Rose have had that experience Quinn had. Because, whether in word or through her many acts of kindness, you, too, have heard Rose speak into your own heart that you're safe with her because she loves you exactly the way you are. I know I sure have!
Knowing my Aunti Rose, she's laughing her way through Heaven. Loving on Jesus, and her "Stevie Boy" (husband and friend) and everyone else she sees.
Thank you Aunti Rose. See you in Heaven. Jeannie
