To my Godmother Eva and my mom's best friend (Maryann Puebla whom we lost December 8, 2017), thank you Eva for having such an impact on my early years and childhood memories I will never forget. She converted myself and 3 siblings to Catholicism, was there at my first Communion (wanted me to be an Altar Boy) took me on my first fishing trip where I caught my first fish in Long Island Sound, always took me to Wheel's (Joe Luperella's) Hot Dog stand for the best foot hot dogs on the planet, told me Santa Claus died in a helicopter crash - she was fluent in sarcasm, told me to leave my top button unbuttoned if I was ever going to have a girlfriend, the trips to Beardsley Park and Seaside Park. I will never forget her fascination with Frank Sinatra and her love of music and how badly she wanted to be a mother herself. She was singularly responsible for my success in life today as an Architect. She took me to visit the Empire State Building in NYC which left a lasting impression on me since the age of 7. My condolences to all of her family and friends that knew her.
