Obituary of Florence M. Pleban
Florence M. Pleban, of Trumbull, CT, celebrated her 84th Birthday May 12, 2018 and passed peacefully into eternity December 8, 2018. Florence is survived by her beloved children, Janice Pleban of Trumbull, her youngest son Gerald Pleban of North Haven, her four loving grandchildren, Justine, Brittany, Courtney and Michael James and her darling great granddaughter Eliana. She is now reunited with her beloved eldest son, Richard E. Pleban, whose immortal soul passed into eternity in 2017.
Florence was born in 1934 to Stanley Mackey and Mary Okruch Mackey and raised in Bridgeport, CT. Her surviving siblings are Frances Smarkusz and James E. Mackey. Gone to eternal life before her are her brothers Theodore Mackey and Edward Mackey.
Florence was an outstanding homemaker and raised her children instilling upon them the values of honesty, compassion, kindness and hard work. She had integrity and strong moral principles and also passed these virtues onto her children and grandchildren.
In 2013, Florence was honored by The Kennedy Center for outstanding service of having the longest record of employment at the agency. She continued to work as a full-time receptionist at The Kennedy Center until 2016 when she retired at the age of 82!
Florence was a kind and extremely giving woman. She thought of others before herself. Her family, friends and co-workers will no doubt remember her wonderful cooking and remarkable generosity.
To honor, remember and share appreciation of Florence, we kindly request family, friends, and former co-workers join together for prayer at Abriola Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd, Trumbull, CT on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m., followed by graveside services at Long Hill Burial Cemetery in Trumbull, CT.
