Obituary of Diana Moreno Rua

Diana Moreno Rua, age 37, of Bridgeport, passed away suddenly on November 25, 2018 as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Born on June 17, 1981 in Bridgeport, loving daughter of Jose Goncalves Rua and Maria Odete Moreno Rua of Bridgeport.

Diana was a beautiful person inside and out, she had an infectious laugh that would instantly put a smile on anyones face. She treasured time spent with her family, especially her son, niece and nephews. Diana was a selfless person, she would always put others before herself. She was the life of the party, always filling the room with so much energy and spirit. Diana enjoyed traveling and never missed an opportunity to go on vacation. The memories they created, and the unconditional love provided will always live on in their hearts. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents Jose and Maria, survivors include an adored son David Gonzalez of Bridgeport, two loving siblings, Silvia Rua Alfonso and her husband Kevin of Seymour and Duarte Moreno Rua and his wife Amanda of Monroe, cherished niece and nephews, Lilianna Mary, Jacob Joseph and Caleb Americo, maternal grandmother, Elisa Videira of Bridgeport; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Anibal Moreno, Francisco Antonio Rua and Isabel Fontenova.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. directly in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Road, Bridgeport for Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, November 30th from 4:00 –7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund to benefit Diana's son through the Funeral Home. Please make checks payable to David Gonzalez.
