Obituary of Matilda J. Jardin

Matilda Jardin, age 86, of Bridgeport, a homemaker, died peacefully on Friday, September 14, 2007 in St. Josephs Manor, Trumbull. Born in Lowell, MA on August 1, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Isabel Teixeira Jardin.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 67 years, John Jardin, Jr.; a daughter, Deborah Cerino and her husband Mark of Trumbull, three brothers; Anthony Jardin of FL, John Jardin of Bridgeport, Daniel Jardin of NH, two sisters; Polly Duval of Dallas TX, Bella Teixeira of Bridgeport and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Keane and Adeline Begnoche. 

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow at the St. Monica Mausoleum in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
