Obituary of John A. Jardin
Bridgeport Resident
John Agostino Jardin, age 81, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Muriel Larkin Jardin, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Mount Vernon, New York on June 14, 1931, he was a son of the late Antonio and Isabel Teixeira Jardin. John had received two Bronze Service Stars while serving in the US Army during the Korean War. He later worked as a machine operator for Remington Arms for many years before his retirement. Survivors include a daughter, Carol Forrester and her husband Sam of TX; brothers, Anthony Jardin and his wife Mary of Norwich and Daniel Jardin and his wife Joann of NH, and a sister, Pauline Duval of TX. Other survivors include several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Keane, Adeline Begnoche, Matilda Jardin and Bella Teixeira. Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
