Memorial Celebration

Will be held in the Spring

Obituary of Patricia A. Forte

Patricia Ann Forte, age 62, of West Haven, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 6, 2018 in her home. She was the beloved daughter of the late Leonard and Angeline Allis Forte, the cherished and loving sister of Lynne Forte of Southbury, and James Forte and wife, Shanti, of California.

Patty held a degree in economics and art from Southern Connecticut State University. For the last ten years, she was a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker in Orange, CT. For many years, she was the owner of Impulse, a one-of-a-kind t-shirt store at the Westfield Mall in Milford.

Back in the days of Impulse, Patty had employed a group of teenagers, who were her employees for many years. They eventually became known as her "kiddos." Even as adults, they remained an integral and joyful part of her life until her passing. She and her "kiddos" experienced a deep and mutual love. This legacy of love continued into the next generation. As they became parents, her circle of love widened. Patty loved and touched the lives of all of the employees, customers and friends of Impulse, including Barb, Jay and Natasha Foldvary, whom Patty was godmother to, Derek "DJ" and Rebecca Weber, Lisa and Ken Wade, Sherri Brunmeier, Jen and Steve Wrye, Wes and Tara Meeker, Rob Talamelli, Joe Valletta, Sean Alexis, Mike Tobey, Magnus Berberich, and many more too numerous to name.

She is survived by her beloved and "tell it like it is" Auntie El; caring cousin, Jody; other extended members of the Forte and Allis family. She shared a life-long bond with her cousin, Michael Ellis. With her cousin, Connie Ellis, and his partner, Chris Merola, she shared countless hours of laughter. Much loved were her great nephew and niece, Nicholas and Megan Dal Porto.

Patty was blessed with an extensive network of friendships, all of which were very special, spanning decades. The love and appreciation she and her friends shared never wavered.

Forever in her heart are: Terria and Jim Linn, Jane Garard, June Powell, Joyce Monterose, and Vicky Reed.

Not to be forgotten are the professional friendships she had with colleagues at Coldwell Banker. She loved her profession, and her clients, many of whom became personal friends.

Patty was an exceptional people person, an exquisite beauty who radiated a rare combination of intelligence, wisdom, wit, humor, love, warmth, style and sensuality. She was the go-to girl. Irreplaceable. Quite simply, to know her was to love her.

At a future date, the urn holding Patty's cremated remains will be buried with her parents at Long Hill Cemetery in Trumbull.

A memorial celebration will be held in the spring.
