Obituary of Jeanne M. Richard

Jeanne M. Garneau Richard, age 91, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Kenneth M. Richard, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 28, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on April 8, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Peter and Veronica Dargan Garneau and was a longtime resident of Trumbull. Before her retirement she was a unit secretary at St. Vincent's Medical Center for over 20 years. Jeanne was a faithful parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed gardening and ceramics but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by a son, Kenneth Richard and five brothers, John, Lawrence, Dr. Pierre, William and James Garneau.

Survivors include her five beloved children, Priscilla Beringer Faustini and her husband Robert of Orange, Thomas K. Richard and his wife Linda of Ansonia, Susan E. Varrone and her husband Joseph of Shelton, John T. Richard and his wife Maryellen of Orange, Margaret Jean Richard of Milford, 13 loving grandchildren, Robert and Jeffrey Beringer, Alecia and Anthony Faustini, Thomas K. Richard Jr., Jeffrey J. Richard, Joseph, Michael and Patrick Varrone, John and Jennifer Richard and Ashley and Tiffany Truini, two cherished great grandchildren, Emily and Douglas and a longtime friend and companion, Ben Mroz of Southington as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Family Center, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
