Obituary of Diena M. Schwickert

Diena M. Raffaeli Schwickert age 73, of West Haven, beloved wife of Peter Schwickert, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on May 21, 1945 she was a daughter of the late Nazareno and Anna Cecomarini Raffaeli.

Diena was a retired Logistics Manager for the United States Post Office, where she had 29 years of dedicated service. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest moments were spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. The unconditional love she gave and the memories they created will always live on in their hearts.

In addition to her husband, Peter, of 53 years, Diena was survived by her two loving daughters, Ann Marie Provenzano and her husband Marc of Milford and Karen Downs of Guilford, four cherished grandchildren, Angela, Julia and Mariah Provenzano and Damon Downs; two brothers, Lidio Raffaeli of Stratford and Reno Raffaeli and his wife Ann of California. She was predeceased by her son, Vincent Schwickert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. John Vianney Church, 300 Captain Thomas Boulevard, West Haven. Entombment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
