Obituary of Gloria M. Barra

Gloria M. Barra, age 75, of Bridgeport, died on Sunday, December 2, 2007 at St. Vincents Medical Center, Bridgeport. She was a daughter of the late John and Mary Chessa Barra and was a resident of Bridgeport for many years. Throughout her life she was involved in several small enterprises and retired from a local bakery after working there with her sister Frances for ten years.

She was the beloved sister of Katherine Oliva of Bridgeport, the late Frances Phillips, and Samuel Barra, Sr. of Glendora, New Jersey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends who will truly miss her.

Gloria enjoyed being a sister, an aunt and a great aunt. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed giving recipes to relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday, December 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
