Obituary of Thomas H. Bruderman

Thomas H. Bruderman, 76, of Trumbull, CT, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2018, after a short illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born in Jamaica, Queens, NY on July 6, 1942, son of the late John M. Bruderman and Catherine (Barr) Bruderman.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara (Micka Heinlein) Bruderman, and his beloved five children, Thomas Bruderman, Jr. (Laurie), Edward Bruderman (Jessica), Elizabeth Loiselle (Dr. Christopher Loiselle), Christopher Bruderman and Suzanne Bruderman. He is also survived by his seven beautiful grandchildren: Genevieve Bruderman, Brigitte Bruderman, Sam Bruderman, Tessa Bruderman, Sophia Loiselle, Luke Loiselle and Isabelle Loiselle. In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren, he is survived by his baby sister, Catherine Bruderman Wentley, his three brothers, John M. Bruderman, Jr., Robert W. Bruderman, and William E. Bruderman, and his brother-in-law, David Heinlein, and was predeceased by his brother Richard S. Bruderman and his brother-in-law John A. Heinlein, Jr.

Tom is a 1964 graduate of Mount Saint Mary's College in Emmitsburg, Maryland and served in the Connecticut U.S. Army National Guard from 1965-1966. He spent his career in business and finance, working at Diamond International, Merrill Lynch, Shearson Lehman Brothers, and Relocation Realty, and after he retired, he was active in other real estate investments. Tom had a passion for cars, antiques and old clocks, and treasured his farm in Trumbull, CT. Tom loved spending time with his family, friends, and his parish family at St. Theresa.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
