Obituary of Lorraine T. Pacelli

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Lorraine Pacelli, age 83, of Fort Myers Florida, beloved wife of the late Clarence P. Pacelli who died at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday August 14, 2018 after a rigorous battle with cancer. Born in Bridgeport, Ct. on, November 28, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Valere Frechette and Eulalie Arsenault Frechette and was a longtime resident of Trumbull before moving to Fort Myers, Florida.

Survivors include her six loving children, William Pacelli of Fort Myers, FL, Jo-Ann Pacelli and her companion Tom Turco of Stratford, James Pacelli of Ansonia, Diane Picerno and her husband Brian of Fredericksburg, VA, Kathy Arsenault and her husband Mark of Fort Myers, FL and Lynn Pacelli and her husband Steve Schneider of Fort Myers, FL, two sisters, Doris Kiser of Fort Myers, FL and Valarie Wallace of Gainesville, FL, 15 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, George Frechette.

Anyone who knew Lorraine would attest to her relentless determination, fighting furiously right to the end. Although difficult to continue without her, it is a great joy to know that she has gone towards her eternal peace in Christ. She was a strong spiritual woman. Being a devout Catholic, has inspired her to volunteer at Lee Health Hospital and make rosary beads for the children in the Philippines.

Lorraine was an avid football fan, especially loyal to the New York Giants. She loved watching her Sunday football with family and friends. Lorraine's sense of humor was something that can't be put into words. The echo of her laughter is something that will not be forgotten. Lorraine enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid reader in inspirational romance; she enjoyed playing scrabble with her family and trips to the casino. But, her greatest joy was Sunday afternoon dinners with her family at home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 10:30 in St. Catherine of Sienna Church, 200 Shelton Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Monday morning from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 Healthpark Cir, Fort Myers, FL 33908 or to the The Senior Friendship Center, 5272 Summerlin Commons Way, Building 6, Suite 603,, Fort Myers, FL 33907.
