Obituary of Marie B. Iovino

Dedicated and Caring wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother Marie B. Tantimonico Iovino age 85, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Noah Iovino, passed peacefully on Saturday June 22, 2013. Born on December 28, 1927 in Bridgeport she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Yoney Tantimonico. Before becoming a devoted mother of five children, she was a graduate of the St. Vincents School of Nursing where subsequently she worked as a nurse. She enjoyed classic movies, reading, and travel with her husband and family. She was an avid card player and enjoyed hours of playing with family and friends. A dedicated and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she particularly enjoyed family gatherings during holidays and other special events. Above all, her greatest memories were those spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her devoted husband, Noah, of 66 years, survivors include five loving children, Robert Iovino (Patricia) of Bridgeport, Deborah Picarazzi (John) of Monroe, Mark Iovino of Monroe, Christopher Iovino (Suzanne) of Orange, and Maria LaViola (John) of Orange; eleven cherished grandchildren, Michael Iovino, John, Jr., Matthew, and Chelsea Picarazzi, Mark Jr., Vincent, Jennifer, Alexander, and Derek Iovino, and Alexandra and John III LaViola; two adored great grandchildren, Haley and Nicholas Iovino; two brothers, Paul Tantimonico (Janice) of Milford, Joseph Tantimonico (Theresa) of Trumbull, a sister Barbara Tantimonico Homa of Derby, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Linda Iovino. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephens Church, 6948 Main Street, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown, CT. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:15 a.m. until the time of service.
