Obituary of Maria R. Nolan

Maria R. Capalbo Nolan, age 60 of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Terrance Nolan, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center with her family by her side. Born on April 29, 1958 in Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late Giacomo and Anna Fedele Capalbo. Maria was a Human Resource Coordinator with the Save The Children for many years. Maria truly loved spending time on the beach; collecting shells and taking long walks. An artist at heart, Maria loved to draw, color, as well as paint wooden eggs and flower pots that she would sell at local fairs.  She loved Halloween, classic horror movies, carving jack-o-lanterns and passed that love on to her sons. But above all else in life, she treasured and loved spending time with her children. She was a loving wife and mother; the unconditional love she showed, and memories created will continue to live in their hearts. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her beloved husband of 32 years, Terrance, she is survived by her four loving sons, Jason Nolan of Bridgeport, Mathew Nolan of Wallingford and Patrick Nolan and Christopher Nolan both of Bridgeport; her brother Jack Capalbo and his wife Renee of Maine; cousins Diane Smith, Donna Guasco, and Robert Gardner; as well as several nieces and nephews and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. directly in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.  Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Catherine’s Academy, 760 Tahmore Drive, Fairfield, CT 06825. To leave an online condolence, visit us at www.abriola.com.
