Obituary of Barbara Ann Bird

Barbara Ann Bird, 86, of Darien, CT (formerly of Stamford) passed away peacefully on May 29^th after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on April 12, 1932 in Elmira, NY to the late Edward and Marion Bartley.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Bird.  She is survived by her six children, Maureen Lockwood (Harry), Suzanne Garaffa (Mick), Michael Bird (Susan), Kelly Bird Lynch (Bob), Betsy Fleming (Pat), and Andrea Hawkins (Paul).  "Gram" will be dearly missed by her 17 grandchildren, Megan (Mike), Courtney, Michael (Jess), Samantha, Tim, Scott (Mea), Brian (Jenny), Carly, Georgia (Pat), Katie, Rory, Hannah, Frances, Olivia, Kevin, Henry and Amelia, as well as her three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Ava and Adriana.  She is also survived by her sister, Judy Kearing, as well as many other cherished relatives and friends. 
    

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory would be welcomed at the Salvation Army, 198 Selleck St., Stamford, CT 06902, or your favorite charity.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 11:00-12:00 at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 pm.
