Obituary of Sally Ann Martone

Sally Ann Martone, age 71, of Southbury passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Waterbury Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on March 19, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Fortuna Martone. While residing in Southbury she spent many years working in both there and Waterbury.  Sally enjoyed music, dancing and food. She loved spending time with family at holidays and family gatherings but cherished the time spent with her mom and sister going to Friendly’s for ice crème sundaes. She was a loving sister and aunt and will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Southbury Training School for all the excellent care they gave to Sally especially those at Cottage 33.

Survivors include a loving sister, Marion Timko of Newtown, nieces, Dawn Olson and Dori Boucher and her husband Francis, great nieces and nephews, Jade, Jerica, Jordin and her husband Chad, Ryan and Jaime and great great nieces, Angel, Rylee and Autumn as well as all the friends she has made over the years. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Richard Timko.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
