Obituary of Richard M. Paoletto, Sr.

Richard M. Paoletto, Sr., age 69, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Diana Goneconto Paoletto, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on December 17, 1948, he was a son of the late Enio and Columba D’Amico Paoletto.

A graduate of Central High School, Rich was a retired machine operator with Handy and Harman and was later employed by the City of Bridgeport Parks and Public Facilities Department as a truck driver. He was a member of the United Steel Workers of America Union Local 7201 and the Park City Pride Drum Corp, the St. Raphael’s Golden Buccaneers Drum Corp. and volunteered for the Bridgeport PAL; he also was an avid movie goer.

In addition to his beloved wife of 24 years, Diana, survivors include five children, Maryellen Glanville and her husband Jeff of New Jersey, Rich Paoletto and his wife Sue of Bridgeport, Paul Paoletto and his wife Pat of Florida, Andrew Paoletto and his wife Krystle of New Milford and Erik Shanabrough of Bridgeport, ten cherished grandchildren, Samantha, Jeffrey and Lily Glanville, Richie and his wife Elizabeth, Taylor, Anthony, Tony, Dylan and Evan Paoletto, and Savannah Roberts; a brother, Robert Paoletto and his wife Ruth; as well as several nephews and a niece. He was predeceased by two brothers, Enio and Michael Paoletto, and a sister, Patricia Hull.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Funeral services and interment will be held privately with the family.
