Obituary of Gina Vitiello

Gina Vitiello, age 90 of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Mario Vitiello, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the CT Hospice in Branford with her family by her side. Born on January 5, 1928 in Ponza, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Gennaro and Civita Feola Vitiello. Gina was part owner and cook with her husband at their business, Mario the Baker. She loved, above all else, spending time with her family and cherished the memories she created with them. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt (Zia), and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Gina is survived by her two loving children, Carmela Cusano and her husband Al of Monroe and Mario Vitiello and his wife Gemma of Norwalk; her adored grandchildren, Cristina, Silvia and her husband Casey, Gemma Lina and her husband Jerry, and Cristina; her cherished great grandchildren, Kadence and Adriana; along with her sisters-in-law Dirce, Villa, and Italia as well as many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Mario, she was predeceased by her seven brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. directly in Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 498 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum of Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
