My deepest condolences to the Mariconda family. Dominick was such a great man and musician. He was instrumental to my career in music in my early years. A truly great mentor. I'll never forget summer band camps at Central H.S. or the many concerts that we played in the city parks with the union bands. Rest in peace. You were one of the greatest educators and musicians that I ever had the chance to have known. You will be missed!

Paul, Peter, Gail & Marilyn There are absolutely no words I can think of which can adequately express the feelings of loss I have learning of your dad's passing. He has meant so much to me over the years. His generous offer of employment while I was a student became the number one reason I remained in Connecticut after graduating from college. My very first "professional" Musicians Union trumpet playing gig in Bridgeport was with Dominick by my side. I feel privileged to have shared the stage with him in numerous bands through the years. He inspired me to be a better teacher and musician through his personal input and interest in my progress. Dominick Mariconda has made his special mark on me and my family and will be sorely missed! My memories of Mr. Mariconda began when he would visit Joe Marzuli and Dick Burlant at Central. I believe he was the music coordinator for the school district at that time. I remember Dom (as I later addressed him), was always encouraging and positive and always had a smile on his face. I also remember him conducting an district honors band we were in, maybe 1971 or 72. To Glenn, Nick, Paul, Bobby and the entire Maririconda family I send my love and condolences, and pray God’s Peace comfort you during this greiving process.
