He was blessed with 27 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Emil and Olga Jabs Eddinger and his four siblings: Elsie Elander, Caroline Rentz, Bradford Eddinger and May Hanbury. Richard was a skilled woodworker. He had a flair for artistic design and architecture, building much of the furniture in his home, the cross over the alter at his church and many other wood pieces. During his life, he built seven houses, including two on Cape Cod, a source of endless enjoyment for him and his family. All are invited to join with the family at his Christian funeral on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2795 Nichols Ave, Trumbull, CT 06611.
