Obituary of Joseph Dostilio

Joseph Dostilio, age 70, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Marcia Caiola Dostilio, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born on May 3, 1947 in Hartford, he was the son of the late Joseph and Agnes Pavia Dostilio. Joe was a retired property manager for the Davis Co. and belonged to the Our Lady of the Assumption Knights of Columbus Council 11077. He enjoyed vacationing with his family and creating memories to last a lifetime. He truly loved his family and always put their needs first.

In addition to his beloved wife of 50 years, Marcia, survivors include two loving sons, Joseph Dostilio III and his wife Malissia of Fairfield, and Vince Dostilio and his wife Susie of Mashpee, MA, five cherished grandchildren, Joseph IV, Dillon, Hope, Nicholas and Christopher, brother-in-law, Sam Caiola of Ansonia, his best friend, Phil Bragg, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4 – 7 p.m.
